Pledge Sunday

Dear Friends in Christ,

The recent change in nighttime temperature, as well as the changes in the leaf colors, remind us that fall is here. This is the time of harvest and reflection. We pick the last of the produce from our gardens, as well as the fall fruits, such as apples. It is also a time to reflect on the bounty that God has willingly given to us. The bounty is not only in food, shelter, and financial gain, but also in his ever- present love. With this in mind, it is also time for us to return part of that harvest to him. In the beautiful song Across the Lands, we are reminded of the mighty gift that Jesus has given us:

Yet You left the gaze of angels

Came to seek and save the lost

And exchanged the joy of heaven

For the anguish of a cross

With a prayer You fed the hungry

With a word You calmed the sea

Yet how silently You suffered

That the guilty may go free!

On November 16, 2025, we will celebrate Pledge Sunday at our church. Over the next several weeks, we urge you to reflect and pray as to how you can dedicate your life to our church in 2026. We once again not only ask for your financial support, but also your time and talents. Remember your time and talent are every bit is important to our church as your financial resources. As always, we thank each and every one of you for your dedication to our church. You may return the pledge card either in person on November 16, or return it to the church office by November 16, 2025.

Yours in Christ,

Dr. Ken Cathcart (elder of Administration and Finance committee)
