Rev. Sue Keim, Pastor       
Pastor Sue Keim came to Northwood in the fall of 2009.  She has pastored in the Presbyterian denomination since 1998.  Previous to Northwood, she served at churches in Port Angeles, WA, and Mesa, AZ.  Before seminary, she was on Young Life staff in western Washington for 10 years.  She received her M-Div. from San Francisco Theological Seminary, a Presbyterian seminary in San Anselmo, CA.  She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Oregon.

Bob Brown,
Choir Director
Bob Brown has served as our Choir Director since the fall of 2011.  Before that, he also was the director here 1996-2003.  He taught music for 30 years and retired from Salk Middle School in 2005.  He graduated from Eastern Washington University and received a Master of Music Education from the University of Oregon.  He also leads the Handbell Choir.



 Cathy Brown,
Cathy Brown has been our Organist/Pianist since the fall of 1998.  She holds Bachelor’s degrees in piano performance and music education from Eastern Washington University.  She received a Master’s of Music degree from the University of Oregon in 1982.  Cathy also plays and teaches cello. 



Alicia Schwartzmann, our new Youth Director   email:

Welcome, Alicia!  Alicia Schwartzmann graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in studio art and art history.  After graduating, she became a child development specialist for Easter Seals, Arizona where she partnered with children with special needs. Being a mother of a child with special needs, Alicia began advocating for children with visual impairments, even partnering with the National Federation of the Blind to pass the Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act of 2010 through Congress. She received her Masters in Education from University of Phoenix. While in Arizona, Alicia taught special education, served as the English language arts trainer and standards specialist with the Arizona Department of Education. Her research and policy work focus on issues of educational equity, teaching quality, and school reform. She has advised and trained school leaders at the local, state, and federal levels. In her work through P-20 institutions and organizations, Alicia continues to push the boundaries of what can be achieved through positive social change. She’s excited to continue her journey as Youth Director with the Northwood community.


 Marge Aukerman, Visitation Ministry
Marge Aukerman is a retired Registered Nurse.  She cares for shut-in and other members of our congregation with visits at home, care centers or the hospital.




Becky Ball, Church Secretary

 Becky Ball rejoined our staff this year after a short retirement.  She started as our Secretary in 2009.  She came to Northwood with more than 16 years of Presbyterian church secretary experience.  She also worked at an eye clinic and in merchandising.  She attended community college in Astoria, Oregon.



 Sue Anderson, Treasurer
Sue Anderson is our Church Treasurer.  She took over this volunteer position upon retiring as a librarian at Eastern Washington University.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Washington and a Master's in Library Science from the University of Arizona.  She and her husband Randy are long-time members of Northwood, and she has served as an Elder and Clerk of Session.


Annie Fair, Wedding Coordinator

We THANK Annie for 50 years of service as she 'retired' from being our kind and loving Wedding Coordinator last summer!

 -HOMEWORK CLUB:  Your elementary-age child is invited to join us for free homework help during the school year, Mondays & Wednesdays, 3-4:30 PM, Fellowship Hall (children are walked down from Linwood School and parents pick up in our back parking lot); meet after school at the school flag pole.
